Within this study, different time-scale-based strategies including correlation and spectral analysis (CSA), cross wavelet (XWT), and wavelet coherence transform (WCT) had been applied to assess the response of daily rainfall and karst spring discharge for the Sebaou River basin, which is located on Mediterranean basin in northern Algeria. The CSA revealed that the hydrogeological systems beneath study are characterized by numerous memory effect (little, poor, decreased, and in depth) with regularization times ranging from five to 50 day. XWT in between rainfall and discharge time series indicates handful of marked disruptions within the spectra among the 1980s and 1990s corresponding to the dry period. The annual approach is visible, dominant, and much more amplified in comparison to the multi-annual fluctuations that characterize the 1-3and 3-year modes, which explained the multi-annual regulation. The nonlinear partnership with the short-term components seems to be linked for the periods of storage (infiltration). In comparison to the WCT elements of 2, 26, and 52 weeks, there is a strong coherence for 102 weeks, which explains the long-term component, indicating a quasi-linearity of the rainfall-runoff relationship. In line with the obtained outcomes, the construction of much more water sources Goralatide site structures is advisable to increase the water storage and boost the water provide due to the richness of your hydrographic network. On the other hand, the impacts of human activities on streamflow because of the looting of rocks and sands within the Sebaou River valleys have reached alarmingly higher levels that call for urgent intervention for the protection of water and ecological resources and their far better rational use. Introduction Karst is often a land with exceptional shapes and drainage. A worn enhanced porous zone referred to as epikarst is situated around the surface, but in the subterranean you’ll find networks of fractures, splits, and conduits of all sizes and shapes, which comprise an very and complicated active hydrologoelogical s.
